Si ha tenido Covid-19, es posible que tenga algo de protección contra algunas versiones de la gripe común.
Un estudio nuevo sugiere que infecciones de coronavirus anteriores reducen el riesgo de contraer resfriados causados por primos del virus más leves, lo que podría proporcionar una clave para ampliar las vacunas contra el Covid.
”Creemos que va a haber un brote futuro de un coronavirus”, dijo el doctor Manish Sagar, principal autor del estudio publicado este miércoles en la revista Science Translational Medicine. ”Las vacunas podrían mejorarse si replicamos algunas de las respuestas inmunológicas que son proporcionadas por una infección natural”.
