El Bestiario…El Silencio Cómplice: ¿A quién le importa el ataque

La reforma del Poder Judicial acapara toda la atención de la comentocracia, de la clase política, de “los poderes”, como se les decía antes, e incluso de un nutrido grupo de exmandatarios internacionales. Con toda la razón: si llegaran a ser designados los jueces en México, y en particular los ministros de la Suprema Corte, por el sufragio universal, se debilitaría enormemente el poder judicial y la separación de poderes, uno de los legados más importantes de la transición mexicana a la democracia.
Para lograr dicha reforma, el gobierno actual, y en su caso, el que toma posesión el 1 de octubre, necesitan dos terceras partes de los votos en ambas cámaras, ya que se trata de una reforma constitucional. La conformación de las cámaras, por lo tanto, se vuelve crucial, y la manera de definir quién tiene cuántos diputados o senadores se torna decisiva. Cuentan dos criterios: el de la obtención por el gobierno de los dos votos adicionales que requiere en el Senado para lograr los 86 necesarios, y el grado de sobrerrepresentación que el INE y el Tribunal Electoral permitan en la Cámara de Diputados.
