Años después, cuando Alejo había cobrado ya fama de santidad, el Papa quiso recuperar sus despojos mortales a fin de convertirlos en reliquias, mercancía en aquel tiempo bastante provechosa, y lo único que en la tumba halló fueron sus harapos. No se ha vuelto a saber nada de aquel santo varón. A lo mejor todavía anda por ahí pidiendo una limosna. Si alguna moza casadera se lo topa le recomiendo que no entable conversación con él, pues corre un riesgo mayor que la primera novia: que la deje ahora desvestida y alborotada. Advierto, sin embargo, que por hablar de San Alejo olvidé el tema que hoy quiero tratar. Lo ilustro con un proverbio cuyas palabras riman con el nombre del santo: “El que no oye consejo no llega a viejo”.
Traigo a colación esa sentencia porque la Presidenta Sheinbaum insiste en su proyecto de crear varios trenes de pasajeros. Me atrevo a sugerirle que pida consejo antes de iniciar esa riesgosa empresa. He hablado con varios expertos en materia de ferrocarriles y me dicen que en todo el mundo las empresas que transportan gente por ferrocarril afrontan graves problemas financieros, y no pocas han ido por vía rápida a la quiebra. Si la señora Sheinbaum se empecina a la manera de AMLO en establecer tal sistema ferroviario deberá gastar ingentes sumas de dinero -de nuestro dinero- en renovar las vías y adquirir en otro país las máquinas y carros.
