Algo tendrán que hacer en las próximas semanas los presidentes y las presidentas municipales que llevan poco más de 45 días en sus cargos para cambiar la mala percepción que los ciudadanos y las ciudadanas tienen de sus gobiernos.
De acuerdo con los resultados de una encuesta que se aplicó para medir la impresión que tienen los tlaxcaltecas de sus nuevas autoridades municipales, se detectó que la gran mayoría está reprobado y que sólo unos se salvan.
En materia de seguridad, cuando a los ciudadanos se les preguntó si en su opinión con los nuevos alcaldes había mejorado, empeorado o sigue igual el problema, casi siete de cada diez personas respondió que la inseguridad se había deteriorado en sus municipios.
A la pregunta qué tan seguro se siente en su municipio y en la entidad, 82 por ciento de las personas entrevistadas mencionó que no se sentía seguro y que teme salir a hacer sus actividades y a divertirse por las noches.
Casi seis de cada diez tlaxcaltecas dijo no sentirse seguro en su casa y una cifra similar opinó que desconfía de los policías municipales y estatales.
El 75 por ciento por ciento de los entrevistados lamentó la falta de obra en sus municipios, la inanición de las autoridades para atender problemas como el mantenimiento y bacheo de calles, la escasez de agua potable, el deficiente servicio de recolección de basura y la ausencia de nuevos programas y acciones de las administraciones.
Otro problema que destacó es el de la corrupción, ya que 74 por ciento de los ciudadanos consideró que los anteriores alcaldes malversaron los recursos públicos y sólo 17 por ciento opinó que esas conductas no serán sancionadas.
