Señorío Tlaxcalteca… Otra vez policías acusados de secuestro

Mientras la gobernadora Lorena Cuéllar celebraba con entusiasmo sus tres años al frente del Ejecutivo en Tlaxcala, el estado sigue tiñéndose de rojo.
En la Monumental Plaza de Toros de Apizaco, la mandataria agradeció al presidente López Obrador por permitirle ser parte de la «gran transformación» que, según ella, ha beneficiado a más de un millón de tlaxcaltecas. Se habló de bienestar, de programas sociales, de apoyo a las mujeres y de la promesa de un futuro más brillante bajo el liderazgo de Claudia Sheinbaum. Pero entre los aplausos y discursos grandilocuentes, hubo algo que brilló por su ausencia: la crisis de inseguridad que se ha apoderado del estado. El tema que por cierto no apareció en los boletines oficiales.
La ola de violencia en Tlaxcala no es un tema menor ni aislado. En las últimas semanas, los titulares se han llenado de casos de secuestros, homicidios y cuerpos abandonados en condiciones espantosas. Desde Roberto N., empresario secuestrado en Chiautempan, hasta el hombre embolsado y con múltiples disparos en Santa Cruz Tlaxcala, la realidad es contundente: la política de seguridad del gobierno ha fracasado. Y este fracaso no es una cuestión que pueda esconderse tras las cifras optimistas de programas sociales.
La gobernadora habla de transformación, de combate a la pobreza, pero ¿de qué sirve todo eso si las calles son inseguras y las familias viven con miedo? No hay desarrollo ni bienestar posible si la vida misma está en riesgo, si el crimen actúa impunemente y si las autoridades no responden a tiempo, como ocurrió con la policía de Santa Cruz, que ignoró un llamado que terminó en el hallazgo de un cuerpo en avanzado estado de descomposición.
