La radiografía que las autoridades dan sobre las policías municipales y sus mandos en los 60 municipios de la entidad es desalentadora y hasta cierto punto preocupante.
De acuerdo con el diagnóstico oficial, en cuatro municipios, es decir Atlangatepec, Axocomanitla, Lázaro Cárdenas y Tenancingo el número de policías es alarmantemente bajo y obviamente representan un centro de atención para las autoridades estatales.
No hay que perder de vista que en agosto en el municipio de Tenancingo se llevó a cabo la ejecución de cuatro poblanos oriundos de Amozoc y de cuyo caso o avance en las investigaciones no se sabe absolutamente nada.
Hay que agregar que municipios como Huamantla, San Pablo del Monte, Contla, Ayometla, Santa Cruz Quilehtla, Tlaxco, Xaltocan, Yauhquemehcan, Acuamanala, Amaxac, Benito Juárez, Cuapiaxtla y Cuaxomulco están marcados con rojo en el “semáforo delictivo” de la entidad.
Hasta ahora Maximino Hernández Pulido, comisionado ejecutivo del Sistema Estatal de Seguridad Pública, es el único funcionario lorenista que ha reflejado la realidad con datos duros y sin maquillar las cifras, lo cual resulta positivo para la administración estatal que deberá redoblar esfuerzos junto con los y las presidentas municipales para hacer realidad la profesionalización de las fuerzas del orden en Tlaxcala.
De los 60 directores de seguridad municipal que debe haber en la entidad, sólo 23 están debidamente certificados y acreditados, mientras que 6 más están en proceso de lograr el aval para desempeñar el cargo, aunque también podrían ser rechazados.
