En los últimos años, la confianza de los mexicanos en los partidos políticos tradicionales ha disminuido drásticamente. Escándalos de corrupción, falta de transparencia y clientelismo han creado la percepción de que estos partidos solo buscan mantener el poder y los privilegios de sus dirigentes, en lugar de representar los intereses del pueblo. Este descontento ha generado una demanda creciente por alternativas políticas que realmente reflejen las necesidades de la ciudadanía. Los partidos, sin embargo, parecen sordos a este clamor, arriesgándose a su propia extinción mientras nuevas opciones emergen para ocupar su lugar.
Según el estudio “Confianza y participación política en América Latina” de Redalyc, en 2018, solo el 20% de la población de la región confiaba en los partidos políticos, y en México esa confianza se estableció en un 9.6%. En 2021, Latinobarómetro reveló que la confianza había disminuido aún más, con solo el 13% de la población latinoamericana confiando en ellos, y en México la cifra se mantuvo casi igual, bajando solo al 9%. Estos datos, junto con los resultados electorales del pasado junio, parecieran no importarle a las dirigencias, ya que en lugar de mejorar sus prácticas, las empeoran, sentenciando de muerte a sus partidos.
