Tras diversas negociaciones el PT, dejó el espacio al exalcalde de Texoloc.
Luego de un estira y afloje en las mesas de negociaciones de la coalición, “Sigamos haciendo historia”, finalmente el transa dirigente del Partido del Trabajo (PT), Silvano Garay Ulloa logró imponer a Miguel Ángel Covarrubias Cervantes como el candidato de esta alianza en el primer Distrito Federal electoral.
El conocido diputado meón, finalmente cumplirá su sueño de seguir escalando dentro de la política, luego de haber sido alcalde de Texoloc, diputado local dos veces y ahora brincará a una posición federal para postularse a la gubernatura.
Covarrubias Cervantes, también se ha caracterizado por la traición y solo buscar sus intereses personales, ya que comenzó como alcalde en Movimiento Ciudadano (MC) para posteriormente traicionar a este partido y migrar al Partido de la Revolución Democrática (PRD), llegando por primera vez al Congreso local.
